A little about the Artist . . . |
| I started a few years ago with
just simple bead stringing, but after taking classes in
seedbeading and wire working, I discovered so many new ways to
make jewelry. Wire turned out to be my favorite medium to work
with simply because it is "instant gratification". Don't get
me wrong, seedbeading is really beautiful when it is finished,
but it often takes so very long to finish a project! And, I
still like to string a pretty necklace with a wire wrapped
pendant at the bottom or incorporate wire bead or shape into a
charm bracelet, etc. But, there is something particularly
fascinating about sculpting and molding a piece of silver wire
around or with beads and cabs to make a beautiful piece of
jewelry. |
