A little about the Artist . . . |
| I retired to Patrick County (in
the Blue Ridge Mountains) from New Jersey. After several
trips to one of the Cherokee Reservations, an old passion
re-surfaced for Native American art, specifically jewelry.
Thusly, the greater percentage of beadwork that I do leans
heavily towards Native American design. It's strange how life
goes; years ago I had a collection of Native American jewelry
that I enjoyed comparing with the now famous issue of the 1975
Arizona Highways that showcased spectacular Native American
jewelry. The jewelry I owned went by the wayside when my
younger daughter entered college, but my love for Native
American design, especially turquoise jewelry, will never
end. I definitely thrive on change, so if you ask me my
specialty, it could very well be something new! I am a live
studio as I wear my creations when I "go to town". |

I am currently a member of Bull Mountain Arts Co-Op which is a
juried art gallery in Stuart, VA, where I have about 20
creations displayed. The members take turns "manning" the
gallery. Currently I am excused from doing so as I am the
sole caretaker of my spouse who is terminally ill.

American Style - Fox Graduating Turquoise Tears with dark
orange/rust Spiney Oyster Nuggets and Disks. Included are
Sterling beads and cone and hook closure. |
"Scheherazade" - Desert Sky Triangle
Metalized Seed Beads with tiny Apatite Brick Shaped Beads, and
Amethist Cylinders Pendant. Sprinkles of Indicolite Austrian
Crystals and various mixed seed beads with an Oiled button and
loop closure embellish this necklace. |
